Sandkaas Familiecamping

After 25 years as the owner of Sandkaas Family Camping, Kim Nissen wants to sell the site.

Over the years, he has transformed the campsite into a unique place with, among other things, 23 modern cabins, a lovely covered swimming pool, playgrounds with bouncy castles, outdoor fitness area, separate area with small tents. The latest investment is 2 large Tiny Houses of 45 m2 each containing 2 bedrooms with loft, kitchen with dining area and of course bath and toilet as well as TV lounge.

From many of the seats there is a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea. In this time, with a green touch, it can be noted that the square’s solar system produces 38% of the consumption.

This gem of a campsite is located on the northern side of the sunny island of Bornholm. Only a few km from Allinge, where every year, in week 24, Folkemøde is held.

The campsite is visited every year by many groups of both motorbikes and car clubs. An increasing number of motorhomes have also found their way to the site, which has set up a specific area where the basic price starts at DKK 130 incl. bath and toilet.

There are two playgrounds on the site. This one is equipped with 5 brand new playhouses and 2 bouncy castles. There is also a swing set.

For rent there are, among other things, 5 Safari tents furnished with beds and tables. In addition, there is a nice complete white Glamping tent of high standard.

At the bottom of the square, by the water, is a 600 m2 area for tents only. Mainly used by hiking and cycling campers.

With direct access from the campsite is a path directly down to the beach. From here it is only a few minutes to the lagoon with a lovely beach.

Building description:

We hereby have the pleasure of presenting a gem of a campsite on the north-eastern side of the sunny island of Bornholm, namely Sandkaas Familiecamping. Run by the same owner, Kim, for more than 25 years.

From large Sandkaas, by the beach, you will also find a coastal path to Allinge, a very beautiful trip that is definitely worth exploring. The trip ends at Næs beach in Allinge.

With access from the steep road from the coastal road, you arrive at the campsite in the hilly area, where from many points you have a beautiful view of the Baltic Sea and along the beautiful east coast of Bornholm with cliffs freely between sea and land.

Every year, the campsite has many small get-togethers of motorbike and car clubs, as well as having fun around the guests with barbecue events.

The space has approx. 180 units incl. tent pitches and cabins

There are 13 amps. Power plug for campers.

The reception
There are two counters here, so that you can man the area, where there is also a shop, with just a few hands.

There are high sloping walls with beautifully painted fields with indirect lighting.

In the production area there are 2 industrial ovens, one of which is special for the production of several fast food products at the same time in the same oven. And the other on gas. In addition, under-counter dishwashers, refrigerators and production tables.

In the sales room a bar with local draft beer taps, barista machine, 2 x ice freezers  (owned by a 3rd party) and 2 x refrigerators for beer and water owned by Unibrew.

Sanitary building after the reception
2 tiled family bathrooms containing 2 sinks, plastic car bathtub, changing area, children’s shower, normal shower and toilets for adults and children.

Men’s department
3 x shower rooms, 4 washbasins, 2 x urinals, 4 x toilets, in the next department 3 toilets, 1 with sink, 2 shower rooms and 2 washbasins

Women’s department
4 x toilets, 4 x washbasins, 2 x shower rooms and next department 4 x toilets, 3 x shower rooms and 4 x washbasins.

In front of these departments, a distribution corridor. At the end of this technique room with 3 x 800 liter water tank from solar panels, and 2 of these with 6 kW heating cartridges which are activated in case of particularly large consumption of hot water.

Changing room/Laundry
In the changing room bath seal and 2 changing pads and toilet.

In the laundry, newer machines. 2 Electrolux washing machines and dryers.

Camper kitchen
In this newly renovated kitchen are 6 x glass ceramic cooking zones, 6 x dishwasher stainless sinks, 2 large professional Unox ovens, 2 x Smeg built-in ovens. 1 Micro oven, 1 dishwasher and a fridge.

From the exit of the kitchen you enter the living room or TV room with a 65″ TV and 5 large round tables with chairs for 50 guests. In front of this a covered terrace with space for 50 guests in outdoor furniture.

Opposite the playground are 5 x safari tents furnished with beds and tables etc. for rental.

There, in addition to a beautifully fully furnished white Glamping tent of a high standard.

At the bottom of the campsite, there is land regulated for 18-20 even units for tents.

Down by the water, a 600 m2 lawn for tents only, according to the “drop inn” concept. Only hikers and cycle campers.

Bathing beach
On the second playground, a large activity play tool from an approved supplier.

With direct access from the campsite is a footpath down to the beach and the beautiful rock formations along the coast. The fine bathing beach can be reached in a few minutes in a lagoon.

There are 5 decidedly motorhome units.

Cabins

• 4 x 24 m2 cabins with bath and toilet
• 5 x 25 m2 cabins with bath and toilet, these with a view of the Baltic Sea
• 2 x Tiny house of 45 m2 completely newly built in maintenance-free materials and tastefully furnished.
• 10 x cabins of 25 m2 with bath and toilet
• 2 x 35 m2 cabins handicap friendly with shared wooden terrace with shower and toilet.

Game room
For the young, there are rooms with air hockey and table football, as well as smaller candy machines.

• The private residence is on the 1st floor of approx. 150 m2 furnished with 3 rooms and a small apartment. However, there is no kitchen and bath, but this is on the ground floor, but a toilet. Possibility of establishment.
• On the ground floor there is a breakfast restaurant with a terrace. Production kitchen with gas stove and refrigerators as well as counters and tables and chairs. New large coffee machine. Wood pellet stove for cozy warmth.
• The campsite is on public sewerage and district heating.
